ShiftOwt - The Smart Way to Manage HGV Driver Shifts & Stay Compliant Are you an HGV driver juggling shifts from multiple agencies? Or a transport agency struggling to manage driver availability and compliance? FOR HGV DRIVERS: ✓ One App, All Your Shifts Receive shift offers from multiple transport agencies in one place. No more missed calls, scattered messages, or confusion about your schedule. ✓ Smart Calendar Management View all your upcoming shifts, set your availability, and manage your work-life balance. Mark your days off, holidays, and rest periods with a simple tap. ✓ Stay Legally Compliant ShiftOwt automatically tracks your driving hours against EU Working Time Directive and EC 561/2006 regulations. Get alerts before you exceed legal limits and ensure you're taking required rest breaks. ✓ Automatic Driving Time Recording No manual logging needed. The app detects when you're driving and records your hours automatically, giving you accurate records for compliance audits. Driving Hours Tracking: ShiftOwt uses background location and a foreground service to continuously and accurately track driving time for compliance with EU Regulation 561/2006. When you start a driving session, a persistent foreground service notification is displayed, and your driving hours are recorded uninterrupted — even when the app is in the background or your screen is locked. This continuous tracking cannot be deferred or paused by the system, as any gap would result in incomplete compliance records that could lead to fines and licence penalties. You control when tracking starts and stops. Location data is only collected during active tracking sessions and is used solely to detect vehicle movement via GPS speed — your actual position or route is never tracked or stored. ✓ Rest Period Tracking ✓ Accept or Decline Instantly Review shift details and respond to agencies in seconds. Your availability updates in real-time across all connected agencies. FOR TRANSPORT AGENCIES: ✓ Real-Time Driver Availability See which drivers are available, on shift, or resting. No more chasing phone calls or waiting for responses. ✓ Compliance Dashboard Monitor your entire fleet's compliance status at a glance. Identify drivers approaching their limits before problems occur. ✓ Quick Shift Assignment Create and assign shifts in seconds. Drivers receive instant notifications and can respond immediately. ✓ Reduce Admin Time Automate shift scheduling, availability tracking, and compliance monitoring. Spend less time on paperwork, more time growing your business. ✓ Driver Management Build your pool of reliable drivers. Track performance, manage relationships, and keep your best drivers coming back.
