Full description
Build notes with blocks, not just text. Kalam is a block-based notes app for writing, organizing, planning, documenting, and managing information your way. Create more than plain text notes. Build each note from different content blocks and combine them in one place. BLOCK-BASED NOTES Use different blocks to create notes for different purposes: Text blocks for rich text, headings, formatting, and alignment. Checklist blocks for tasks, to-do lists, and action items. Code blocks for programming notes with syntax highlighting, multiple languages, code themes, and customizable fonts. Table blocks for structured information with customizable columns, rows, pagination, and borders. Calendar blocks for planning and managing events inside your notes. Image blocks for photos with captions, shapes, and alignment. Link blocks for saving URLs with automatic previews, including titles, descriptions, favicons, and images. You can also add ordered and unordered lists, quotation blocks, expandable sections, and customizable dividers. Reorder blocks to change the structure of your notes whenever you need. ORGANIZE YOUR NOTES Keep your information organized with folders, nested folders, and tags. Create folder structures for projects, work, personal notes, coding, learning, reference material, or anything else you want to organize. Search and filter notes across titles, folder names, tags, and content inside note blocks. CUSTOMIZE YOUR NOTES Customize the look of your workspace and your content. Choose light, dark, or system appearance, customize accent colors, and select from 15+ font families. Kalam also supports appearance customization across different parts of your notes, including notes, folders, code, quotations, links, tables, calendars, and dividers. PRIVATE NOTES AND VAULT Protect private information with locked notes and a dedicated private vault. Use a passcode or supported device biometrics to access protected notes. Passcodes are encrypted before being stored. OFFLINE-FIRST NOTES Kalam is designed with an offline-first approach. Creating, editing, searching, filtering, and organizing notes, folders, and tags can work without an internet connection. Connected features such as authentication, cloud backup, and note sharing require network access. CLOUD BACKUP AND RESTORE Back up your notes, folders, and tags to cloud storage. The current backup system uses AES-256 encryption and supports restoring your stored workspace. SHARE NOTES WITH A CODE Share notes with other Kalam users using a 6-character sharing code. Recipients can enter the code, preview the shared note, and import it into their Kalam workspace. Supported images and tags can be included with shared notes. SAVE CONTENT FROM OTHER APPS Send text and URLs from other Android apps directly to Kalam using Android's share functionality. Shared text can be added as text content, while URLs can be converted into link preview blocks. USE KALAM FOR Personal notes and ideas Tasks and checklists Work notes and documentation Project information Programming and code notes Research and reference material Planning and events Private notes Organized personal information Kalam brings block-based notes, tasks, rich text, code, tables, calendars, images, links, folders, tags, customization, privacy, offline access, cloud backup, and note sharing into one flexible notes app. Create your notes your way with Kalam.
