Full description
Shared Khata is a shared expense tracker for two people. Split bills, track IOUs and see who owes who in one ledger that you and a friend, roommate or partner both see and edit. Entries sync to both phones, and the app works offline too. A simple bill splitter and expense splitter for everyday life: split expenses with friends, a roommate or a partner, and always know who owes you money. No more "I already paid you" arguments. You both add entries to the same ledger, and you both see the same balance. How it works 1. Create a ledger, add the other person and share the invite link 2. Either of you adds what you gave or got 3. Both phones show the same balance, until it says Settled What you can do - Create a shared ledger with one person: a roommate, partner, friend, sibling or colleague - Add an entry as You Gave or You Got in a few taps - Split a bill equally, or record the full amount - Pick a category: Food, Groceries, Rent, Utilities, Transport, Shopping, Entertainment, Medicine or Other. The app remembers the ones you use - Add a title, a date and an optional note - See who owes who at a glance: You Will Receive or You Will Pay - See the balance with each person, and "Settled" when you are even - Search your ledgers by name Both of you see the same ledger - Changes sync as soon as you're online, and the other person sees them when they open the ledger - Get notified when the other person adds, edits or deletes an entry, so nothing changes quietly - Add the person by phone number, email or from your contacts, then share the invite link on WhatsApp or any app Works offline - Add entries with no internet, on a flight or with weak signal - Shared Khata syncs on its own when you are back online Any currency, anywhere - Use any currency. Your local currency is picked for you - Available in multiple languages. Switch the language anytime in Settings - Light, dark or system theme - Sign in with your phone number or Google account - Delete your account from inside the app at any time - Free to use, with no ads and no daily entry limits Great for - Roommates: a roommate expense tracker for rent, groceries and utility bills - Couples tracking shared expenses - A trip with a friend or partner - Money owed between friends and family - Lunch and coffee with a colleague - A simple debt tracker you both agree on What does "khata" mean? Khata means "ledger" in Urdu and Hindi. In Pakistan and India, Shared Khata is your personal khata or hisab kitab: an udhar hisab you keep with one person, made for friends and family, not for shops. Everywhere else, think of it as a shared IOU tracker for split bills and money owed. Shared Khata: split bills with friends, track IOUs and always know who owes who.

What's new

• Split a bill equally: pick "Split Equally" when adding a bill and the app counts half for each of you. No calculator needed. • Ledgers with nothing owed now show "Settled" instead of PKR0. • Simpler add screen: the description is optional and the sheet takes less space. • Transaction details no longer hide the last card behind the buttons. • Notifications switch back on when you allow them later in settings. • Smaller app and stability improvements.
