Shakye: Make New Friends

Meet someone who showed up at the same moment. Shakye is an adults-only social discovery app for dating, friendship, and new connections. Create your profile, choose what you’re looking for, and shake your phone when you’re ready to meet someone. HOW SHAKYE WORKS Build a profile with photos, interests, a bio, and prompts. Choose Dating, New Friends, or Open to Both. Shake your phone or tap the Shake button. Shakye searches for someone mutually compatible who joined during the same live moment. View their profile and choose to connect or continue looking. When you both connect, start a private conversation. FIND THE CONNECTION YOU WANT Whether you’re looking for a date, a new friend, or simply someone interesting to talk to, Shakye uses reciprocal intentions and preferences to find a suitable connection. Friendship seekers connect with other friendship seekers. Dating matches respect both people’s age, identity, distance, and dating preferences. SHOW WHO YOU ARE Create a profile that goes beyond a single photo: • Add between two and six profile photos • Choose interests and hobbies • Write a bio and answer profile prompts • Select your dating or friendship intention • Set the people and age range you want to meet • Preview your profile before publishing it NO ENDLESS FEED Shakye is built around live participation rather than hours of browsing. Every shake is a chance to meet one compatible person who is available when you are. CHAT PRIVATELY When both people decide to connect, a private conversation opens. Send real-time text messages, receive match and message notifications, and decide whether the connection becomes a friendship, a date, or something unexpected. SAFETY AND CONTROL Your comfort matters. Shakye includes: • Profile and photo reporting • Blocking, unmatching, and muting • In-conversation safety controls • Profile-photo requirements • Community Guidelines and safety reminders • Account deletion from inside the app • Approximate location only—exact coordinates are never shown Shakye does not allow nudity, harassment, impersonation, scams, bullying, or social-media usernames in profiles. Violations may result in content removal or an account ban. SHAKYE+ Upgrade for additional discovery controls, including advanced preferences, city and worldwide discovery, custom distance controls, match extensions, profile insights, and other premium features. Core matching, messaging, blocking, and reporting remain available without a subscription. Shakye is only for adults aged 18 and older.
