ServiceOver!

ServiceOver! is a badminton scoreboard for singles and doubles, built to be read from the side of a court rather than from a desk. Tap a side's score to give them the rally. Everything else follows from that. WHAT IT KEEPS TRACK OF • The score, with rally scoring, a two-point margin at deuce and a cap • Who is serving, and which service court they must serve from • Which player receives, always diagonally opposite the server • Doubles rotation, where partners swap courts only after winning a rally on their own serve • The 60-second interval when a side first reaches the halfway point • Changing ends between games, and again in the deciding game • Games won, and when the match is decided BUILT FOR COURTSIDE The four player positions sit beside the score, laid out as the umpire sees the court, so the board doubles as a diagram of where everyone should be standing. The server and receiver are marked. Long names are handled properly: they shrink, wrap, or turn to run along the court rather than being cut off. The score is the biggest thing on the screen, sized to whatever the display can hold, and readable from a few metres away. SINGLES AND DOUBLES Switch between them in the settings. In singles the one player moves between the two service courts as the score changes, and the board shows them move. YOUR FORMAT, NOT JUST THE STANDARD ONE The default is 21 points, capped at 30, best of three. All of it can be changed — points to win, the cap, the number of games, and the point the interval fires at — because club nights and box leagues routinely play shorter games. CORRECTIONS Undo takes back the last rally. Each side's minus button retracts only that side's own last point, so service and court positions stay in step. Ends can be swapped by hand if the board and the court disagree. MATCH DETAIL A second screen shows the court plan, the full scoresheet as a stepped ladder, and a graph of how the score progressed. NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING There is no sign-in and no server. The match is stored on your device and nowhere else. We collect nothing about you.
