VARIM: Events & Meetups

Life is boring on your own — better with people who say VARIM! 🚀 Short one player for five-a-side football? Want to go camping this weekend but not alone? Or looking for someone to join you at your favorite artist’s concert? VARIM (Turkish for “I’m in!”) brings together real events in your city and people who share your interests. Not virtual chats — real meetups. Free. HOW IT WORKS 1️⃣ Pick your interests and choose your own username. 2️⃣ Discover: browse events that fit you on a list or on the map. 3️⃣ Say “I’m in” and join with a single tap. 4️⃣ Chat, meet up and enjoy the moment! WHY VARIM? 📍 Discover on the map or in a list What’s happening around you? The events that suit you best appear first with “For you” ranking. Find them in seconds with filters for category, date, distance and “Right now”. 🙋 End the “we’re one short” problem Describe who you need and the open spots (e.g. “1 goalkeeper needed”) and complete your squad. If an event is full, join the waitlist — when a spot opens, the next person in line is notified. 🛠️ Create an event in 1 minute Pick a category, set the time and place, publish. Paste a WhatsApp message to auto-fill the listing, set up a weekly series, add co-organizers, prepare a “things to bring” list, or require approval to join. ✅ “Are you still in?” check As the event gets closer, participants get a reminder; those who can’t make it free up their spot and the organizer takes attendance. No one gets left hanging at the last minute. 💬 A chat for every event Each event has its own chat, announcements and participant list. Mute the chat whenever you like. 🔒 Safe and transparent • Other users see you by your username; your first and last name appear only on your profile. • The full address of an event is shown only to people who join. • Ratings, reviews and trust badges help you know who you’re meeting. • Report and block; inappropriate content is filtered automatically. • Your email address and phone number are never shown to other users. 🔔 Only the notifications you want Get updates about people you follow, alerts for saved searches and requests on the “wish board”. You decide which notifications you receive. 🌗 Comfortable interface Light and dark mode, an offline banner, and the option to resume an unfinished listing later. WHAT KIND OF EVENTS? ⚽ Sports: five-a-side football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, running, yoga… 🎮 Games: okey (Turkish rummy), backgammon, board games, tabletop RPGs, console… 🎵 Music & Arts: concerts, jam sessions, painting, dance… 🌲 Nature & Adventure: camping, trekking, cycling, photography… ☕ Food & Drink: coffee chats, breakfast, picnics, food tours… 💬 Gatherings: language practice, book clubs, meetups, neighborhood get-togethers… 🎓 Education, 🤝 Volunteering, ✈️ Travel, 🎉 Celebrations & Traditions and much more: 11 main categories, 100+ subcategories.
