Full description
SeedBox is a seed organiser for allotment holders and kitchen gardeners. Keep every packet you own in one place, and know exactly when each one is due to be sown. No more buying a third packet of chard because you could not remember what was already in the tin. WHAT IT DOES • Organises every packet: add seeds by barcode scan, by catalogue search, or by hand for anything home-saved. • Sowing calendar: your whole growing year on one grid. One row per crop, twelve months across, every sowing, transplant and harvest window in view at once. Crops with two seasons, like broad beans, garlic and sweet peas, show both the autumn and the spring sowing. • Frost-aware sowing dates: set your last spring frost and your first autumn frost once, and every window shifts to suit your garden, so tender crops wait until the frosts have finished where you live. • Reminders that name the plant: "Time to sow Spinach indoors", not a generic nudge. Tick a task, dismiss one you are skipping, or defer it for a fortnight. It syncs across your devices and it can all be undone. • Succession sowing: stagger lettuce, radish and salad leaves at intervals of one to eight weeks. • A record of what actually happened: log germination, potting on, transplanting, first flower, first fruit, harvests, pests and disease. Add a note to any of them and weigh your harvests in grams. • Seed expiry dates: add the date printed on the packet and SeedBox counts what will be past its best before spring arrives. • Seed expiry dates: add the date printed on the packet and SeedBox counts what will be past its best before spring arrives. WHO IT IS FOR Allotment holders with more packets than memory. Kitchen gardeners working out what goes in when. Seed savers keeping track of what they collected and from which plant. Anyone who has sown a tray of seed and only afterwards found the packet was four years old. If a shoebox, a biscuit tin or a spreadsheet is currently your seed organiser, this replaces it and adds the timing. WHAT IS FREE Thirty seeds, the whole catalogue, barcode scanning, your task list, frost alerts, and the first three seeds on the calendar. Premium adds the sowing calendar for every seed you own, sowing dates shifted to your own frost dates, plant reminders for every variety, interplanting and follow-on crops, and no limit on how many seeds you keep. Download SeedBox and get the seed tin under control before the season starts. Whether you keep a full allotment, a vegetable garden, a few raised beds, a greenhouse or a windowsill, SeedBox works at your scale. It is a seed organiser, a seed inventory, a sowing planner and a garden diary in one app, for vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruit. If you grow your own from seed, it fits. --- Designed for: home gardeners · allotment holders · kitchen garden growers · seed savers · beginner gardeners · grow-your-own enthusiasts · vegetable growers · flower growers Works for: vegetables · herbs · flowers · fruit · microgreens · salad crops · brassicas · legumes · root vegetables Features include: seed inventory app · garden task planner · sowing calendar · frost date calculator · succession planting tracker · seed expiry reminder · plant history log · barcode seed scanner

What's new

• Autumn sowings now follow your own garden's frost and shortening days. Sweet peas spend November tucked up under cover, as they'd prefer. (Premium) • The Calendar suggests what could follow a crop, so no bed sits idle, and tucks repeat sowings away. • Succession sowing now stops when the season does. • Tasks, the Calendar and your timeline now agree on what's done. • New Varieties and Timeline views, and crop drawings in five styles. • A smoother Calendar, freshly weeded.
