Acoustic Dashcam is a privacy-first, zero-telemetry background audio recorder designed for continuous personal security, evidence capture, and encrypted audio journaling. Engineered with a "Privacy by Architecture" philosophy, Acoustic Dashcam operates 100% offline on your device. Your audio never touches the cloud, external servers, or third-party tracking networks. ================================= 🔒 CORE SECURITY & PRIVACY FEATURES ================================= • 100% Offline & Zero Telemetry: No cloud uploads, no server accounts, no tracking SDKs, and no analytics. Your audio files and encryption keys remain exclusively on your device. • Uninterrupted Background Capture: Record continuous audio chunks in the background while driving, walking, navigating, or attending meetings—even when your screen is locked or the app is minimized. • Hardware-Backed AES-256-GCM Encryption: All captured audio is encrypted instantly at rest using Android KeyStore hardware enclave keys. Unencrypted audio is never saved to disk. • Master Vault PIN & Biometric Protection: Secure your recording archive behind a Master Vault PIN and local biometric authentication (Fingerprint / Face Unlock). • Panic Button (Scorched Earth Wipe): Press and hold the Panic Button for 2 seconds to instantly purge all AES hardware encryption keys and local files from your device's secure enclave, rendering all existing recordings mathematically irrecoverable. • Adaptive VAD & Smart Audio Processing: Features Voice Activity Detection (VAD) and automatic gain adjustments to capture clear speech across quiet rooms, noisy streets, and meetings. • Public Survival Vault Export: Export encrypted .vault files to your local Documents folder (Documents/AcousticDashcam_Vault) for secure backup and phone-to-phone migration. • Open-Source Code Verification: Inspect and audit our core encryption and vault implementations on GitHub for full privacy and security compliance. ================================= 🛡️ PRIVACY & LEGAL COMPLIANCE ================================= • Screenshot & Screen Capture Protection: Screenshots, screen recordings, and task-switcher thumbnail previews are strictly blocked inside the app via system-level FLAG_SECURE. • Foreground Service Transparency: To comply with Android policies, a persistent status bar notification is always displayed while background recording is active. • Legal Notice & EULA Requirement: Acoustic Dashcam is formally classified as a personal acoustic dashcam and secure voice memo tool. Users are required to comply with local wiretapping and audio recording consent laws in their jurisdiction. Take control of your personal privacy and audio security with Acoustic Dashcam today.
