Full description
Sigil is the sealed-records layer underneath a freight move. Sign a rate confirmation. Capture the BOL at pickup with GPS bound into the seal. Photograph the POD at the dock and the consignee signature locks it. Every event becomes a block in a per-load hash chain that anyone — broker, carrier, factor, or a judge in a deposition — can verify at sealedby.com/verify without an account. Built for carriers who are tired of arguing over manila-folder paperwork two weeks after delivery. Built for brokers who carry the liability when a load goes sideways and need the trail to hold up. Built for factors who want to underwrite from cryptographic proof instead of a scanned BOL. Why Sigil is different ★ Tamper-evident by construction. Each event in a load — rate-con offered, rate-con agreed, at pickup, BOL signed, GPS pings in transit, at delivery, POD signed, invoice issued — is hashed and chained to the one before it. Edit one event and every later hash breaks. The chain is checked hourly. ★ Sealed records that hold up. Final BOLs and PODs are PAdES-signed PDFs with RFC 3161 trusted timestamps from a public TSA. Open them in Adobe Acrobat and the green signature panel is right there. If Sigil disappeared tomorrow, every previously sealed document still verifies offline. ★ GPS is bound into the seal. Latitude, longitude, accuracy, and source are part of the hashed input for the BOL-signed and POD-signed events. Moving a single coordinate after the fact breaks the chain at that link. The chain explicitly names the broken event. ★ Carriers earn reputation on-chain. No FMCSA federal-vetting theater. Reputation is computed from sealed events: on-time delivery rate, completed sealed POD count, months active. New carriers start at zero and build a public, computable track record. ★ Cash hits before the truck leaves the dock. When the consignee signs the POD, the invoice auto-issues and lands on a factor marketplace. Factors bid (advance %, reserve %, payment-rail hint). The carrier picks the best offer. Sigil never custodies funds — we record the agreement; the factor wires on whatever rail they already use. What you'll do in the app • Accept and sign rate confirmations • Sign the BOL at pickup with GPS bound to the seal • Capture POD photos and the consignee signature at the dock • Browse open loads on the board • See bids on your delivered loads and accept the one with the best advance • Pull your audit chain for a load and share the verify URL with anyone What's in the box • Unlimited senders, recipients, envelopes, templates • Freight Bundle: ready-to-send freight contracts (rate-con, BOL, POD, carrier packet, broker-carrier agreement) • Hash-chained audit log + hourly integrity check • Mobile signing — sign with a finger at pickup and at the dock • Public REST API + open spec (Sigil-Protocol v1.0) for TMS, factor, and broker integrators • ESIGN / UETA aligned — see sealedby.com/trust Open the email; sign the load; move on. The chain does the rest.
