Full description
A screen orientation lock that actually holds. ScreenLock+ pins your screen orientation to portrait or landscape and keeps it there - even when auto-rotate is switched off, even when you turn the phone over in bed. One tap locks the screen orientation. One tap gives it back. FREE, FOREVER - Screen orientation lock: portrait, landscape, or either one upside down - A rotation lock control in your notification shade - change screen orientation without opening the app - A home-screen widget with one-tap orientation buttons - The rotate bubble: turn your phone and a small icon appears; tap it to move the lock to match. Ignore it and nothing changes - Your screen orientation lock survives a reboot - No account, no ads, no tracking, and nothing is sent to us or to anyone else TRY A RULE FREE FOR A WEEK Build one screen orientation rule and it runs for seven days - no card, no account, nothing to cancel. When the week is up the rule stays exactly as you left it, ready if you decide Pro is worth it. ScreenLock+ can also spot the rules worth making. If you keep setting the same screen orientation by hand while charging, or at the same time each evening, it offers to build that rule for you. It only ever looks at when you switch - never at which apps you open. PRO - IF YOU WANT MORE Per-app screen orientation is the heart of it. Landscape for video, portrait for reading, and back to normal everywhere else - automatically, without touching a setting. - Per-app rules: YouTube always landscape, your reader always portrait - Time rules: portrait lock from 10pm, so late-night reading stops flipping - Charging rules: landscape whenever the phone is on its dock - Bluetooth rules: landscape the moment your car stereo connects - Profiles: group rules into Bed, Car or Couch and switch with one tap - Smart auto: follows how you hold the phone, but only after you have held it there - brief tilts are ignored - Flat hold: lying the phone on a table stops the screen flip-flopping - Keep the screen awake while a rule is active - handy for recipes and sheet music - Back up and restore your rules - Control it from Tasker or automation apps Pro is $19.99 once — buy it and it is yours, with no subscription and nothing to renew. If you would rather not commit, it is $1.99 a month with the first month free. TWO THINGS IT CANNOT DO We would rather tell you now than have you find out after installing. An app that forces its own orientation still wins inside that app. ScreenLock+ controls the display, not another app's internal decision. Android 16 and newer ignores screen orientation locks on large screens, so on tablets and unfolded foldables the lock may not apply. ScreenLock+ tells you when this happens instead of pretending. ABOUT PERMISSIONS Display over other apps is how the rotation lock works - the app holds an invisible, empty window that carries your chosen screen orientation. It draws nothing you can see apart from the rotate bubble, and it cannot read your screen. Usage access is only requested if you create a per-app rule, and only so the app can tell which app is in front. Nearby devices is only requested if you create a Bluetooth rule, and only to read the names of devices you have already paired. No scanning, no location. Everything you configure stays on your device. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. The only network connection the app makes is to Google Play, for purchases.

What's new

Try a rule free for a week. Create one and it runs for seven days — no card, no account. Your rules stay exactly as you left them afterwards. ScreenLock+ can also spot the ones worth making: if you keep setting the same orientation by hand while charging, or at the same time each evening, it offers to build that rule for you. It only ever looks at when you switch, never at which apps you open. Pro is now $19.99 once or $1.99 a month.
