Full description
Block apps. Do a workout. Earn your screen time back. ScreenBreak is a free app blocker that doesn't rely on willpower. When you open a distracting app, ScreenBreak blocks it — and to unlock it, you move your body. Screen time you earn, not screen time you lose. Most screen time apps just show you a chart of how bad it was. ScreenBreak actually stops the scroll and turns the block into something useful. BLOCK BY TIME OR BY OPENINGS Limit how long an app can be used — or how many times it can be opened. The second one is what actually breaks the habit: it's the fifty pickups a day that cost you, not the minutes. TWO MODES Self-Control — for adults who want to stop the doomscroll. You set the rules, you block the apps, you earn the time back. Family Protection — PIN-locked parental controls. Choose which apps your kids can access and when. They can't disable the block without your PIN. HOW IT WORKS 1. Choose the apps that eat your day 2. ScreenBreak blocks them by time or by number of openings 3. Complete a workout to unlock 4. The session timer runs out and the block comes back FEATURES - App blocker that actually holds - Workout-based unlock - Limit app openings, not just minutes - Configurable session timer, 1 hour by default - PIN protection for family mode - No account needed - Free, with no subscription Block the apps. Earn the time back. ⚙️ Use of Accessibility Services (AccessibilityService API) ScreenBreak uses the Android AccessibilityService API to detect which app is currently in the foreground. This is required to block the apps you selected and show the mindfulness or movement screen. - ScreenBreak only reads the package name of the app currently in the foreground. - No content, text, passwords or user input is read, stored or transmitted. - All data stays on your device. - The permission is only activated after your explicit consent and can be revoked at any time in Android settings. ScreenBreak is not an app for people with disabilities and does not use the IsAccessibilityTool flag.
