Sap Spy: Maple Syrup Tools

Sap Spy is your sugaring operation in your pocket: the map of your woods, the sums you do at the pan, a log of every load of sap and every barrel of syrup, and, if you run Sap Spy monitoring, your vacuum and tanks in real time. MAP MY WOODS Walk or draw your mainlines on LiDAR terrain with slope shading and contours. See every line's length, drop and grade, and which way the sap will run. Pin pump houses, tanks, gateways, nodes and sensors, measure elevation, distance and acreage with an estimated tap count, get a bill of materials, and share a map with a QR code. Sign in and your maps sync to the desktop planner at sapspyapp.com. SUGARHOUSE LOG Every load of sap in and every barrel of syrup out. Log a load in seconds: who it came from, the gallons and the Brix, valued at that supplier's rate as you type. Give each supplier a receipt by text or email and their own page with their loads, the running total and what has been paid. Pack a barrel with its grade, color, density and weight, print a 4 x 6 label with its lot code, and track where every barrel went. Season totals, trends, gallons per tap and what you owe add themselves up, and it keeps working with no signal at the sugarhouse. On the desktop, import past seasons from Excel. CALCULATORS, DONE PROPERLY Twenty calculators built from the North American Maple Syrup Producers Manual, each citing its page. Sap to syrup with the revised Jones rule (87 at 66.0 Brix, 88.1 at 66.9), hydrometer correction, today's draw-off temperature from the barometer where you stand, thinning heavy syrup, RO concentrate and membrane health, tank and pipe volume, mainline sizing with Table 6.3, pump CFM, line tightness, lifts, payback, and what sap is worth. US or metric. Works offline. SUGARBUSH MONITORING For producers with Sap Spy hardware: live vacuum, tank levels and temperatures by site, a timeline you drag through the season, and push alerts you choose. Take a test drive of a real sugarbush without signing in. KNOWLEDGE BASE Real answers to the questions producers ask us, with short how-to videos you can watch right in the app. The calculators, the maps and the Knowledge Base need no account; the Sugarhouse Log and your synced maps need a free one. No ads, ever. Built by Maple IoT Solutions in Wisconsin with feedback from producers across the maple belt. Ask for a change from inside the app and it goes straight onto the roadmap.
