Open it and see at a glance: - The tide right now, and whether it is rising or falling - When the next high tide and the next low tide are, with a countdown - A tide curve for the whole day, with every high and low marked Look ahead or back with one tap. Prev and Next step a day at a time, you can swipe the chart, or pick any date from a calendar. Planning a beach walk next weekend, a fishing trip, a photo shoot or checking what the water did last Tuesday takes seconds. TAP THE MAP Tap any coastline and Sandpiper finds the nearest tide station, draws the line to it and shows its tides. Or search as you type: tide stations appear instantly, and place names fill in a moment later. THE MOON AND THE BIG TIDES - The moon's phase, shown as a real picture of the moon, with how much of it is lit - Spring tides: the bigger-than-usual tides after a new or full moon - Neap tides: the gentler tides after a quarter moon - King tides: a spring tide with the moon close, when the water is among the highest of the year at that station - A "coming up" list so you know when the next of each one is SAVE YOUR PLACES Bookmark your favourite beaches, harbours and fishing spots, and jump between them with one tap. MARINE WEATHER (UNITED STATES) - Live conditions from the nearest NOAA buoy: wave height and period, wind and gusts, air and water temperature, pressure, and the last 24 hours of waves - Hourly wind and wave forecast charts for the next seven days - The National Weather Service coastal waters forecast and weather forecast - Weather warnings and advisories for the spot you are looking at (shown in the app; no notifications) Marine weather needs a connection and covers the United States and its waters. Tides, moon and calendar work everywhere and offline. MAP LAYERS Switch on weather radar and NOAA nautical charts (US), satellite cloud imagery, or sea surface temperature. WORKS OFFLINE Tides are calculated on your phone from published harmonic data, so predictions work with no signal at the water's edge.
