Full description
A reminder that arrives showing a picture of the actual thing. Photograph the shelf, the meter, the drawer, the door. Say when. At that moment the picture comes back - full screen and ringing if it matters, quietly if it does not. There is nothing to type and nothing to describe. Some things cannot be said in five words "Parking, bay 42" is a guess about what you will recognise later. A photograph of the bay, with the scuffed pillar beside it, is what you were actually looking at. Ramz keeps that picture and hands it back at the hour you chose. The picture is what arrives, not a note about it The photograph is not filed away behind a line of text. It is the alert. On the lock screen, at the moment it matters, you see the thing itself. For someone who cannot read the alert when it lands Set Ramz up on their phone, sitting beside them. Their own things, photographed in their own rooms, arriving at the hour that matters - nothing to read, nothing to learn and nothing to tap. Anyone who already makes picture schedules on paper will recognise the shape of it straight away. It tells you when the phone blocked it Android drops reminders quietly, and a reminder app is by design not the app you open every day - which is exactly what battery sleep punishes. Ramz notices that a reminder never arrived, says so, names the setting that caused it and takes you there. It cannot promise the phone will always let it through. It can promise never to leave you guessing. Quietly, or loud enough to wake you Each reminder chooses how it reaches you. A notification is the ordinary kind. An alarm takes over the screen and rings through a silent phone, the way a clock alarm does. Ramz tells you which one a reminder will use, and says "about 6:00 pm" rather than "6:00 pm" whenever the phone will not let it be exact. Not now, but do not lose it A reminder that lands at a bad moment does not have to be dismissed. One tap puts it back for the length you picked once in Settings - five, ten or fifteen minutes - and it returns the same way it came, with the same picture. It is still the same reminder underneath: still watched, still owed, and still counted as missed if the phone drops it. A repeating reminder keeps its own schedule, and if the next one is due sooner, that one comes first. No account, and nothing leaves the phone No sign-up, no profile, no cloud, no advertising. Your reminders and your photographs are stored on this device and nowhere else, and Ramz works with the phone in aeroplane mode. Because nothing is kept anywhere else, a new phone starts empty. Free, and what the unlock adds Everything for fourteen days. After that one-off reminders stay free and unlimited - as many as you like, for as long as you like. A reminder that repeats needs a one-time unlock, bought once rather than rented. There is no subscription and no advertising. Repeat it, or do not Once, every day, or on the days of the week you choose. Change your mind later and the next arrival is worked out again for you. Finished, not deleted Mark a reminder done and it moves to the archive rather than disappearing. Bring it back whenever you want it again. In your own language, in your own script English, Arabic, French, German and Spanish, chosen inside the app whatever the phone is set to, and laid out right to left in Arabic. Built to be read Every screen survives the largest system font without a word being cut off. Every control has a name a screen reader can say, and every choice says which option is selected in words rather than by colour alone. The text meets the AA contrast standard in both themes. What Ramz does not do No feed, no streak, no badge, no nagging. A reminder arrives once, at the time you chose, and then it waits for you. Ramz is رمز, Arabic for a symbol or a sign - the picture that stands in for the thing itself.

What's new

Ramz turns a photograph into a reminder. Photograph the thing - the shelf, the meter, the drawer - and choose when. At that moment the picture comes back, full screen and ringing if you asked, quietly if you did not. One tap snoozes it. It also tells you when the phone blocked a reminder, and which setting to change. Everything free for 14 days. After that one-off reminders stay free and unlimited; repeating ones need a one-time unlock. No account, no cloud.
