Full description

sakīnah — a heart, listening. The Qur'an has a word for every state of the heart. Sakinah helps you find yours. Name what you feel — anxious, angry, sad, confused, grateful, calm — and the app opens to a verse tuned to that moment. You read it in Arabic and English. You listen to the recitation. You close the app. That's the loop. No streaks. No badges. No hooks. WHY SAKINAH IS DIFFERENT • One verse per emotion, not six hundred pages to scroll. • Notifications carry the verse itself — not a reminder to "come back". They're silent by design. • Reminders are anchored to Islamic moments: after ʿIshāʾ, the last third of the night, before Fajr, or morning. • History is a 28-day reflection of what you carried, not a scoreboard. • Typography respects the Arabic — Amiri for the Qur'an, Cormorant Garamond for the English, a brass ornament between them. WHAT'S INSIDE • Six states of the heart, thirty curated verses. • Arabic, careful English translation, short reflection, deeper tafsīr. • Offline recitation audio. • Private journal, kept on your device only. • A Library for the verses you want to return to. • Silent reminders, timed to prayer — not 9 AM. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account required. • No tracking. • No ads. • No analytics selling your emotions. • Your journal never leaves your phone. FOR WHO For Muslims who are tired of apps that gamify what should stay sacred. For the nights when anxiety climbs at 2am and you don't know what to open. For the moments after ʿIshāʾ when you want the Qur'an without the noise. "And it is He who sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers." — Qur'an 48:4 sakīnah — stay a minute. Read. Listen. Reflect. Close the app.
