BINDI Sakhi Ground Partner App

The Sakhi Ground Partner App is a purpose-built Android application developed by EMPBindi International Association to support Ground Partners (GPs) in managing and empowering Solar Sakhis rural women trained as solar entrepreneurs and technicians across last-mile communities in India. As part of the three-tier Sakhi app ecosystem (Sakhi App, Ground Partner App, and Bindi Web Dashboard), the Ground Partner App serves as the critical operational link between field-level Sakhi activities and the Bindi support team. It equips Ground Partners with real-time tools to oversee Sakhi performance, manage solar product distribution, conduct village surveys, and ensure the smooth functioning of rural solar enterprise operations. Monitoring Sakhi Performance Ground Partners can view each Sakhi's profile, including their photo, name, location, and current month's earnings. A comprehensive home dashboard displays key performance metrics Sakhi Productivity, Portfolio at Risk, Cashless Collections, and Outstanding Principle giving GPs a real-time overview of their Sakhi network's financial discipline and solar sales health. Monthly earning summaries help GPs identify trends and support Sakhis in improving their enterprise outcomes consistently. Task Management for Field Operations GPs can view, assign, and track pending field tasks such as solar kit deliveries, instalment collections, and scheduled Sakhi visits and allocate these directly to the relevant Sakhi. This structured task delegation ensures accountability, timely follow-up, and seamless coordination of after-sales support, which is critical to sustaining rural solar electrification at scale. Village Surveys for Subsidy Assessment One of the app's most impactful features is the integrated survey tool. Ground Partners can conduct structured, on-ground surveys to assess whether a village qualifies for solar product subsidies. The survey captures participant details, village economic data and social profile (APL/BPL status, social category, type of housing, and source of drinking water). Based on the responses entered, the app automatically calculates and displays the subsidy percentage applicable to that village enabling data-driven, transparent decisions for solar product distribution and subsidy allocation across rural communities. Top Performers Leaderboard GPs can view a ranked leaderboard of top-performing Sakhis based on monthly earnings, This feature encourages healthy competition, helps GPs replicate successful strategies across their network, and motivates Sakhis to grow their solar enterprise performance month on month. Seamless Communication The app provides integrated messaging and chat capabilities supporting text, images, and emojis enabling Ground Partners to communicate in real time with individual Sakhis, other Ground Partners, and the Bindi admin team. This reduces delays in field support, enables quick problem resolution, and strengthens overall coordination of solar enterprise activities on the ground. Sakhi Management and Suggested Visits GPs can manage their Sakhi list by adding new Sakhis, viewing their profiles, and monitoring visit schedules. The Suggested Visits feature prompts GPs to prioritise follow-up field visits based on Sakhi activity and need ensuring no Solar Sakhi is left without timely handholding support in the field. Accessibility for Rural Users The app supports both English and Hindi, with voice input (microphone) and audio output (speaker) available across all key screens making it accessible even for users with limited literacy. This is in direct alignment with Bindi's core mission of deploying inclusive, language-agnostic technology for rural women entrepreneurs across India.
