PROMINENT DISCLOSURES & SENSITIVE PERMISSIONS USE: In full compliance with Google Play Developer Policies, Sakhi transparently discloses the use of the following sensitive permissions: 1. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE API (BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE): • Purpose: Exclusively used to detect 3 rapid presses of the hardware Volume Up or Volume Down buttons when the phone is locked, the screen is off, or another app is open, in order to trigger the emergency SOS panic alert. • Privacy Guarantee: Sakhi does NOT monitor, collect, or store any typed text, passwords, screen content, personal messages, or user interactions. It only listens for physical key-down click events (KeyEvent) for the panic trigger. • User Consent: This service is strictly optional, requires explicit user activation in Android Accessibility Settings, and can be disabled at any time. 2. SMS PERMISSION (SEND_SMS): • Purpose: Directly dispatches automated emergency alert messages and live location coordinates via your carrier SIM card to your pre-selected emergency contacts. • Privacy Guarantee: Sakhi does NOT read, access, or share your incoming text messages or private SMS inbox. 3. LOCATION PERMISSION (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION): • Purpose: Accesses precise GPS coordinates solely during an active SOS emergency to attach your real-time Google Maps location link to emergency alert messages. • Privacy Guarantee: Location is sampled only when SOS is actively triggered. Sakhi does not track your location when the app is idle. 4. CONTACTS PERMISSION (READ_CONTACTS): • Purpose: Enables you to select trusted emergency contacts from your phonebook to receive SOS alerts. • Privacy Guarantee: Contact details are stored strictly locally on your device and are never uploaded to any external server. 5. BATTERY OPTIMIZATION & BACKGROUND EXECUTION: • Purpose: Ensures the emergency service remains responsive in deep sleep without being terminated by the operating system. HOW IT WORKS: 1. Select trusted emergency contacts from your address book. 2. Grant required permissions (SMS, Location, and Lock-Screen Trigger). 3. In any distress situation, tap the on-screen SOS button or press your volume/Bluetooth button 3 times quickly. 4. Sakhi immediately alerts your contacts with live updates until you tap "Stop Sharing".
