Full description
EyeShield is eye protection for children who hold the screen too close. Children lean in. It happens slowly — during homework, a game, a video — and by the time you notice, it is already a habit. It is not defiance: holding a screen closer makes it bigger and easier to focus on, so the drift is automatic. The front camera measures how far your child's face is from the screen, several times a second, and their buddy reminds them to sit back long before the leaning becomes a habit. No lectures. No nagging. A character they actually like. HOW THE SCREEN DISTANCE MONITOR WORKS Set a safe distance once. EyeShield watches the gap between your child's face and the screen, and when the screen comes too close their buddy squints while a gentle tone and vibration ask them to move back. Measurement happens entirely on the phone. Camera frames are analysed on the device and are never recorded, saved or uploaded — not to us, not to anyone. MEET THE BUDDY Your child names their own buddy during setup, and it reacts to them live: happy at a comfortable distance, squinting as the screen creeps closer, and cheering when the day's goal is met. A character a child likes will change a habit. An app that tells them off will not. FOR CHILDREN • A buddy that reacts the moment they lean in • Stars earned for every good session • Daily streaks and badges to unlock • A proper celebration when the goal is met FOR PARENTS • Set the safe screen distance in centimetres or inches • Choose the alert tone, volume and vibration — or use a sound of your own • A grace period, so a moment's wobble does not set off an alarm • Daily and weekly reports with a plain-English score • Full alert history: when it happened, how close, and for how long • Copy a weekly summary to send to a doctor or teacher • PIN protection, so settings stay yours • Keeps measuring in the background, with an ongoing notification the whole time BUILT FOR HOW CHILDREN ACTUALLY HOLD A PHONE The safe distance is worked out from your child's age, because a six-year-old's face is not an adult's and the maths has to differ. You set the age once during setup and the measurement tunes itself. BETTER SCREEN HABITS, NOT SCREEN BANS EyeShield does not block apps and does not cut screen time. It changes one thing — how close the screen is held — and it does that with encouragement rather than restriction. Good posture and comfortable eyes, without another argument. PRIVACY • All distance measurement happens on the device • No camera image is ever stored or transmitted • No video, no photos, no recordings • Built for children and families WHAT EYESHIELD DOES NOT DO It is not a parental control app. EyeShield does not block apps, filter websites, track location or lock the phone. It changes one thing — how close the screen is held — and it does that with encouragement rather than restriction. If you need app blocking or web filtering, you want a different kind of app, and we would rather you knew that before paying. SUBSCRIPTION EyeShield is a subscription app. Monitoring, alerts, reports, history and rewards are all included in one plan, with monthly, 3-month, 6-month and yearly options priced for your country. Cancel any time in the Play Store. EyeShield encourages a comfortable viewing distance and better posture at the screen. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.

What's new

Safer for younger kids • Buying a subscription or opening a web link now asks a grown-up a quick question first, so it can't be tapped through by accident. • Your child's name and age now stay on this device — they are never uploaded. • Usage analytics can now be turned off any time in Settings. Plus reliability fixes to sign-in and monitoring alerts.
