Rostar Sync

Rostar Sync is the carer app for home care agencies running the Rostar Sync care management platform. It is used by employed care workers, whose accounts are created for them by their care coordinator. It is not a consumer app and cannot be used without an account issued by an agency. YOUR ROUND, IN ORDER Open the app to the calls that are yours today, with planned times, tasks, access instructions and anything the office has flagged. No hunting through a paper rota. CHECK IN AT THE DOOR Tap an NFC tag or scan a QR code at the person's home to check in and out. Times are captured as they happen rather than remembered at the end of a shift, so the record reflects the visit that was actually delivered. Where no tag or code is available, manual check-in is always offered with a recorded reason. WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL Check-in, check-out, tasks and notes are saved on the phone and sync when the connection comes back. A hallway with no bars does not stop a carer starting or closing a call. MEDICATION, RECORDED PROPERLY See only the doses due around each call, worded for what you were asked to do: administer, assist or prompt. A call cannot be closed with a dose unaccounted for. Record it, or say why you could not, and the explanation goes onto the chart. TASKS AND NOTES Work through the agreed tasks for each call and write notes while you are there, not from memory in the car afterwards. MILEAGE AND AVAILABILITY Log mileage between calls, and tell the office which days you can work without it turning into a WhatsApp thread. MESSAGES FROM THE OFFICE Read and answer the office without leaving the app, so questions about a call are answered against that call. ABOUT ACCOUNTS Accounts are created by your care agency. You cannot register in the app. If you do not have a login, speak to your care coordinator. PERMISSIONS AND WHY NFC reads the tag fixed at a person's door to confirm you are there. The camera scans the door QR code as an alternative and images are never stored or sent. Location is read once at check-in and once at check-out to evidence that a visit happened where it was scheduled; there is no background tracking, and declining it does not stop you working.
