Rootsphere Live

Rootsphere is a family tree and genealogy research app built to help you trace your roots, preserve your family's history, and collaborate with relatives — with the added power of AI-assisted research. BUILD YOUR FAMILY TREE Add ancestors and descendants, link spouses, parents, children, and siblings, and see your whole family laid out generation by generation. Add photos, videos, and voice notes to bring each person's story to life. COLLECT HISTORICAL RECORDS Upload birth certificates, marriage and death records, census documents, military records, immigration papers, and more. Rootsphere automatically extracts text from your documents (OCR) so they're searchable, and finds the closest match when you search. AI RESEARCH ASSISTANT Get AI-powered suggestions for missing ancestors, generated timelines from your existing records, recommendations for records you might be missing, and research guidance — all powered by Claude. COLLABORATE WITH FAMILY AND RESEARCHERS Invite family members to your tree, assign research tasks, and work together. Post research opportunities to the community board, or become a verified Finder or Indexer and help other families uncover their history. DISCOVER RECORDS AND RELATIVES ACROSS TREES Search historical records and people beyond your own tree — Rootsphere connects community-contributed records and profiles so you can discover matches you didn't know existed. STAY ON TOP OF YOUR RESEARCH Get notified about hints, record matches, and family activity, so you never miss a new discovery. SUPPORT GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH Donate to support ongoing family history research, with or without creating an account. Whether you're just starting to map out your family or deep into archival research, Rootsphere brings your family's story together — one record, one relative, and one discovery at a time.
