GIVE YOUR BELONGINGS A PLACE Roomnest is a small home inventory for the things you want to find again. Record a name, room, storage spot, quantity and optional notes. Start with a single shelf or build a broader catalog over time. The dashboard shows your entries, total units and rooms without requiring a complicated setup. FIND THE DETAIL YOU REMEMBER Search by an item's name, room, exact location, notes or borrower. Open a room to browse only the belongings stored there. Rooms appear automatically from your entries, and editing a location moves an item to its new place. Use consistent room names to keep the collection organized. KEEP USEFUL NOTES CLOSE A storage spot can be as simple as a drawer, a shelf or a colored box. Notes can hold a model number, an accessory list or another detail you want to remember. Quantities let you record a set as one entry. The app supports up to 1,000 entries, quantities from 1 to 999 and notes of up to 500 characters. REMEMBER WHAT YOU LEND Mark an entry as lent out and enter the borrower's name. The dedicated Lent out view gathers these entries in one place. Mark an item returned when it comes back. Lending applies to the whole entry and its quantity; create separate entries if only part of a set is borrowed. Share a readable summary of an item, room or filtered list through an app you choose. Roomnest is a manual organizer, with no automatic scanning or lending reminders. CLEAR EVERYDAY CONTROLS A simple home screen leads to your entries, the built-in guide and Settings. Readable labels accompany the controls, and forms explain the expected values. Review an entry before changing it, confirm destructive actions and use the guide whenever you need a reminder. Interface animations can be switched off in Settings without changing any of your stored information. YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU The app works offline without registration, advertisements or in-app purchases. It does not request internet, camera, location or storage permissions. Entries are stored locally on your device. Saving a backup uses the system file picker so you choose its destination. Sharing opens the system chooser so you choose the receiving app; nothing is sent automatically. BACK UP BEFORE YOU MOVE Save a complete backup as a text file and restore it later in the same app. A restore replaces the current local collection after you confirm, so save your current data first when you want to keep both versions. The app checks the backup before applying it and keeps the existing collection if the file is invalid. Human-readable shared summaries are separate from restorable backups. Uninstalling removes local data, so make a backup before changing devices or removing the app. BUILT FOR SMALL DAILY TASKS The interface is in English. There is no cloud synchronization, account setup or recurring subscription. Open the app, make a useful update and carry on with your day. Your entries remain available the next time you return.
