Full description
Be ready when the officer starts asking questions. MockStop is practice for the roadside English check. An AI officer pulls you over and asks about your trip, your papers, your hours and your load — in English, the way it happens at a real stop. You answer out loud. You get a score, and you get told what a better answer sounds like. MockStop is a practice tool. It is not an official test, and it is not affiliated with FMCSA or any enforcement agency. WHAT YOU PRACTICE • Roadside stops — an officer pulls you over, and the conversation starts cold • Weigh stations • Inspection instructions • Hours of service, logbooks and eRODS transfers • Shipping papers • Cargo and seals • Road signs, including electronic message signs • License and endorsements YOUR ROADSIDE READINESS One number, and the six skills behind it: officer comprehension, explaining in your own words, road signs, roadside vocabulary, hours-of-service questions, and following instructions. Weakest first, so you always know what to work on next. TRAIN IT IN FIVE MINUTES Training is built from your own answers, not from a generic course. Understand the words an officer will use, hear the same question from different officers, say it yourself, then take a quick check. Retest that one skill and watch the number move. HELP IN 11 LANGUAGES English, Español, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ, Русский, हिन्दी, O'zbekcha, Українська, العربية, Kreyòl Ayisyen, Português and Français. Coaching and explanations come in your language. The officer only ever speaks English, because that is the part being checked. PRACTICE WITH NO SIGNAL A yard, a rest area, a mountain pass. A stop taken offline is graded on your phone and syncs when you are back. YOUR VOICE IS NEVER RECORDED Your phone's own speech recognizer turns what you said into text, and only the text reaches us. We hold no audio, and there is no column in our database that could hold any. NOBODY IS WATCHING No class, no instructor, no one else in the cab. Get it wrong as many times as it takes. REAL STOP REPORTS Tell us what you were actually asked at a stop, and practice those exact questions. It is anonymous and it takes a minute. FOR SCHOOLS AND FLEETS Reserve seats for your drivers by email address. They download MockStop and sign in the way any driver does — no code to read out to a classroom, no link to lose in a group chat. The rule being practiced is 49 CFR 391.11(b)(2): a driver must read and speak English well enough to talk with the public, to understand highway signs and signals in English, to answer an officer's questions, and to write entries in reports and records.
