Call Blocker — Spam Screening

Call Blocker rejects telemarketing, promotional and spam calls before your phone rings. Screening happens entirely on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no server of its own. HOW IT DECIDES Every incoming call runs through an ordered list of checks, and the first one that matches wins: • Emergency numbers always ring. • Anyone on your allow list rings. • Your contacts ring. • Whitelist-only mode, when you turn it on, blocks everything else. • Numbers on your block list are rejected. • Numbers you reported as spam are rejected. • Withheld caller ID, pattern rules, and international calls follow your settings. • Numbers on the shared community spam list are silenced. BUILT FOR INDIAN NUMBERING • The TRAI 140 series, reserved for registered telemarketers, is rejected. • The 1600 series and short codes are silenced rather than hung up on, because banks and service providers genuinely call from them — a wrong catch leaves a call in your log to ring back, not one you never knew about. • Every rule is a switch in Settings, and you can add your own prefixes. WHAT YOU GET • A one-tap pause, for when you want to pause the app services. • Whitelist-only mode: your allow list becomes the only way through. • Report a number once. It is blocked for you immediately, and can be added to the shared list so everyone else is protected too. • A blocked-call history, kept for 8 days and then deleted automatically. • It keeps working after you swipe it out of recents. Android hands each incoming call to the app itself, so there is no background service to keep alive and no battery exemption to grant. FOUR PERMISSIONS, AND SCREENING NEEDS NONE OF THEM • Contacts — optional, so people you know are never blocked. The app asks one question, "does any contact have this number?", and copies no contact anywhere. • Notifications — to tell you a call was blocked. • Internet and network state — to download the shared spam list. The app does not request call log access, SMS access, microphone, or location. It cannot read your call history, your messages, or where you are.
