Rival Ideas

Rival Ideas is an offline decision-making tool designed to help you explore complex choices systematically. Instead of relying only on intuition, you can break a decision into alternative paths, examine possible effects and dependencies, plan for obstacles, and record what actually happens over time. Whether you are considering a career move, planning a product strategy, evaluating a financial choice, or working through another important decision, Rival Ideas gives you a structured space to think through multiple possibilities before moving forward. Key Features Decision Management Create, organize, search, filter, and archive decisions so important choices remain easy to access and review. Branch Exploration Map alternative paths using an interactive curved-node structure. Explore how one choice can lead to different outcomes as your decision grows in complexity. Effects & Dependencies Record short-term and long-term consequences for each option. Document required resources, potential blockers, dependencies, and assumptions that could affect the outcome. Fallback Planning Prepare alternative routes in advance. If one path becomes unavailable or blocked, you can explore another route without rebuilding your decision from the beginning. Checkpoints & Reviews Set review dates and track milestones as circumstances change. Revisit decisions when new information becomes available. Outcome Tracking Record what actually happened after a decision was made. Over time, build a personal history of choices and their real-world results. Branch Comparison Review alternative paths side by side using a structured layout. Compare possibilities without forcing complex decisions into a simple ranking. Focused Review Step back from the details and review a decision with personal notes in a focused, distraction-free environment. Private & Offline Rival Ideas is designed to work entirely offline. Your decisions and notes are stored locally on your device, allowing you to work without an internet connection. There is no account, no cloud synchronization, no location access, no analytics, and no data collection. Your decision-making workspace stays on your device. Rival Ideas is built for people who regularly face consequential decisions and want a better way to explore possibilities, prepare for uncertainty, and learn from the outcomes of their choices.
