Full description
Safer routes for running in Seoul and across South Korea, with voice directions in English. Pick a time and a pace, and Friday builds a loop that starts and ends where you're staying, then talks you through every turn so your phone can stay in your pocket. ■ Safer routes: streets with more safety equipment come first • For each route option, Friday counts the CCTV cameras, emergency bells, security lights and police posts along it, using Korea's nationwide public data (304,796 CCTV cameras, 77,929 emergency bells, 1,517,967 security lights and 2,072 police posts) on a grid of about 110 m. • Turn on "Prefer safer routes" and the best-covered option comes first. After sunset, it turns on by itself. • Friday can't tell whether a street is lit tonight or what the surface is like. Use your own judgment on dark stretches. We can't guarantee lighting, surface conditions or safety on any route. ■ Made for visitors and new arrivals • English app screens (Korean too; switch in Settings), and a coach that speaks English with native English voices. • No route planning, no translating street names: voice directions say which way to turn, not what the street is called. • Staying in Hongdae, Gangnam or Myeongdong, or near the Han River in Seoul? In Busan or on Jeju? Routes work across South Korea. • Routes start from where you're standing, so Friday can only build them while you're in South Korea. • Distances in kilometers, paces in min/km (no miles). ■ A time and a pace is all it needs • Choose "50 minutes at 6:00/km" and Friday builds a loop of about that distance. • Or search for a destination and get a one-way route there. Or skip the route and just run. • Compare options by number of turns and share of parks and rivers. • Two more options: fewer crosswalks & signals (where crosswalk data exists, such as Seoul), and avoid crowded spots (live data for 121 major Seoul spots, daytime only). ■ Turn-by-turn by voice • Before each turn, Friday tells you which way to go. • Step off the route for a while and Friday finds a way back and keeps guiding you. • Distance, pace and directions keep going with the screen off. ■ A coach that talks about your run Friday writes each comment from your own numbers and reads it out loud. • Your current pace, your last kilometer, your goal and how far is left • Once you have a run from the past week, Friday can compare each kilometer with the same kilometer of that run: "12 seconds faster than yesterday" • At the start, every kilometer, halfway to your goal, when your pace drifts, and at the finish • 13 coach voices. The coach speaks English or Korean. ■ History • Distance, pace, per-km splits and a map of where you actually went • Auto-pause at traffic lights, so you see your pace with and without stops • Runs, walks and rides, listed by month ■ Your data Routes are built on our own server in Seoul, and your location is never sent to the AI services we use outside Korea. ■ 7-day pass or subscription In Seoul for a few days? Get a 7-day pass: you pay once and it doesn't renew, and the 7 days start when you buy it. Or choose a monthly or yearly subscription; new subscribers get about 30% off their first payment. Coaching comments and the voice that reads them are created by generative AI. Friday is not a medical device. • 7-day pass (no auto-renewal), or a monthly or yearly subscription that renews automatically, at your local Google Play price. • Cancel anytime in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. • Privacy Policy: https://friday.rimikimi.com/privacy • Terms of Service: https://friday.rimikimi.com/terms • Location-Based Service Terms: https://friday.rimikimi.com/lbs-terms Keep your earphone volume low enough to hear what's around you, and check signals and vehicles yourself. Location access is used to measure distance and pace during a run and to build routes from where you are.
