ReVision Africa

ReVision is an assistive technology app designed to empower blind and partially sighted individuals with greater independence. By combining artificial intelligence and accessible design, ReVision transforms your smartphone into a powerful companion that helps you read, understand, and connect with your environment. ### Accessibility Service ReVision uses the Android AccessibilityService API as part of its core accessibility functionality for people who are blind or partially sighted. The Accessibility Service allows ReVision to provide accessibility assistance and spoken feedback while the user interacts with their Android device. This capability supports ReVision's goal of helping users with visual impairments access information and use their device more independently. ReVision's use of the AccessibilityService API is specifically intended to support users with visual impairments and overcome accessibility barriers they may encounter when using an Android device. ### Key Features **Smart Reading Aid** – Instantly capture printed or handwritten text with your phone’s camera and have it read aloud in clear, natural speech. **Real-Time Translation** – Translate text into your preferred language before it is spoken, making information accessible across language barriers. **ReVision Connect** – A safe community space where users can ask questions, share experiences, and get support from others. **Text-to-Speech & Speech-to-Text** – Easily convert captured content into audio or dictate speech into text for easier communication. **Save & Recall** – Keep important captured text stored in the app for later reference. **AI Summaries** – Quickly understand the essence of long documents or screen content with smart, automated summaries. ### Why Choose ReVision?
