Nearby mode uses your foreground location to connect with people within a simulated 5 km range. Share a channel link to help friends tune in. Listen first Try the radio as a guest without creating an account or granting microphone access. When you want to join the conversation, sign in with Google and enable your microphone. Press. Speak. Release. Hold PTT to talk and release it to listen. One voice at a time keeps the conversation feeling like a real walkie-talkie. Microphone permission alone never starts a transmission.
