The best way to collect data using AskField. AskField is a professional field data collection app for Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) and Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI). Interviewers use it to run assigned surveys, capture answers, media, GPS, and quality-control data, and submit completed interviews to their organization. AskField works fully offline, so you can collect reliable data in remote or poorly connected areas — household interviews, facility inspections, street intercepts, and other field assignments. Logic, validation, quotas, and case management continue to work without a network. When connectivity returns, interviews sync to your AskField workspace. For CATI, AskField can use the phone’s calling features so interviewers can manage sample, place calls, record outcomes, schedule callbacks, and complete interviews from the same device. Used this way, a smartphone or tablet becomes a mobile call-center workstation. You can switch between AskField and other apps on the device as needed. Supervisors can also configure the app for focused field use, including settings that keep interviewers in the survey workflow. AskField Mobile is part of the AskField platform. Design questionnaires once on the web — including complex types such as grids, scales, heatmaps, ranking, and custom combined grids — then deploy them to mobile, phone, and online modes. Completed data uploads to your AskField servers; supervisors can review, return, and reassign work from the same workspace.
