Fretionary Bass

Fretionary Bass turns your bass fretboard into a map you can actually read. See the notes, scales, chord tones, and whole progressions light up right where you play them — and tap any note to hear it in a real bass tone. Built for bass, not a guitar app with four strings crossed out. Switch between 4-, 5-, and 6-string tunings and every note on the neck follows. FRETBOARD • Map any scale across the neck — major, the modes, pentatonics, blues, harmonic and melodic minor • Auto-detected position boxes so you can learn one shape at a time • Hear a scale played top to bottom, or tap any note to sound it • Custom mode: tap the frets to build your own set of notes • Label the dots as note names, scale degrees, or intervals CHORD-TONE OVERLAY • Pick a chord and the strong notes — root, 3rd, 5th, 7th — light up across the neck • The matching scale sits dimmed underneath as backup notes • Lock it to a 4-fret hand position to see exactly what falls under your fingers CHORD PROGRESSIONS • Build a progression, or start from a preset (I–IV–V, ii–V–I, 12-bar blues, and more) • Tap any chord to jump to it — the fretboard updates instantly • Press Play and the neck follows every chord change, so you see the theory as it moves PRACTICE • Name the Note, Find the Note, and String drills • Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels • Practice in your current tuning, with a built-in metronome TUNINGS 4-string standard and Drop D free. 5-string, 6-string, Eb, Drop C, BEAD, and more with Pro. Real recorded bass samples. Works offline. No ads inside the app. FRETIONARY BASS PRO Unlock every scale, chord quality, tuning, and practice drill. Available as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Whether you're finding your first root notes or locking bass lines to the changes, Fretionary Bass shows you the fretboard instead of making you guess.
