Full description
Stake is a fully offline card puzzle about fixing a funny sports relay sequence. Arrange trick cards, reverse eligible moves, and replace inconvenient elements from an open reserve while staying within a limited move budget. Stake works locally without accounts, servers, external services, or network connections. Each program starts with a prepared sequence of five to eight cards. Every card contains a trick name, an entry pose, an exit pose, and information about whether it can be reversed. The goal is to remove the gaps between neighboring poses while respecting the required starting and finishing poses. Stake lets you swap two unlocked cards, reverse a reversible card, or exchange a sequence card with one of two available reserve cards. Each confirmed action uses one move. Locked positions cannot be changed or reversed. A single undo restores the previous sequence, reserve, and move count. Four simple poses are used throughout the game: standing, sitting, standing on one leg, and on all fours. The table clearly shows where poses match and where gaps remain. Short card animations provide visual feedback while repeated taps are temporarily blocked during an action. Stake includes built-in programs with different sequences, move budgets, locked positions, and personal records. All built-in programs are available immediately and are prepared to be solvable. Filter programs by all, unfinished, or completed, then open each program to review its starting and finishing poses, reserve cards, locked positions, and victory conditions. The Stake app also includes a workshop for creating custom programs. Choose a chain length, build a continuous starting sequence from the available trick catalog, select up to two locked positions, and define the shuffle settings. The app performs valid local shuffle actions and stores their reverse sequence as proof that the generated program can be solved. After completing a program, Stake shows the result, actions used, remaining moves, and comparison with your personal record. You can replay the program, review the final arrangement, or return to the program list. Records are kept separately for each program. The Stake download includes local progress, program history, drafts, settings, and active-game state. Optional camera access is limited to creating a small player icon in settings. The game remains fully playable without a photo, while all saved information stays on the device.
