Full description
Relay is a task, project and goal manager built on the Getting Things Done method. You capture anything on your mind into an Inbox, turn each item into a concrete next action or a project with a defined outcome, and see only what you can actually do right now. CAPTURE Get things out of your head quickly: a quick-add bar, home screen widgets, and sharing from any app. You can forward email straight into your Inbox from your own private Relay address, and add files and photos. WIDGETS Put any of nine Relay lists on your home screen, tick items off with one tap, and switch lists from the widget itself. On Android 12 and later it takes its colours from your wallpaper. Two one-tap widgets sit alongside: one captures a new task over your home screen, the other starts processing your Inbox. CLARIFY A guided wizard takes one item at a time and asks the questions of Getting Things Done: what it is, whether it is actionable, what the very next action is, how long it will take, who should do it, and whether it needs a date. Nothing gets filed by guesswork. ORGANISE Next actions, projects with a defined outcome, waiting for, someday/maybe, and a reference archive. Contexts describe what a step needs, such as a phone, a keyboard, or being at home, so a list of calls is not mixed in with errands. REVIEW The weekly review is where most systems quietly fail, because it depends on remembering to check everything. Relay turns it into a step-by-step flow: clear the Inbox, update each project, then check your goals and areas. Trigger lists jog loose what you had forgotten you were carrying, and a five-minute daily review shapes each day. ENGAGE Today's calendar sits beside today's shortlist, with next actions filtered to the time you actually have before your next commitment. HORIZONS Projects ladder up to goals, areas of focus, vision and purpose, so you can check that what you are doing still serves what you care about. CONNECTS TO WHAT YOU ALREADY USE Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Todoist, Notion and Linear. Every connection is optional, Relay works fully with none of them, and you can disconnect any of them at any time. ON EVERY DEVICE The same account works on Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows, and in any browser, and your lists stay in step across all of them. Sign in with Google to use one account on every device. YOUR DATA Crafted and hosted in Switzerland. The database, files and server code all run in Google's Zurich region. You can export your data as JSON, with links to your files, whenever you want, and delete your account and all its data from inside the app. Relay is independent work and is not affiliated with, licensed by, or endorsed by the David Allen Company. GTD and Getting Things Done are registered trademarks of the David Allen Company.
