Full description
Learn Korean with 21,000+ real videos from native speakers, at the speed they actually talk. From beginner to advanced. Reelang looks like a normal short video feed, except it adapts to your level of Korean. You watch real TikToks, YouTube Shorts, Reels, vlogs and street interviews made in Korea, and we add new ones all the time. You scroll. Reelang keeps finding Korean you can understand. The Korean your textbook skipped Textbook Korean and the Korean people speak to each other are not the same language. This feed is clips Koreans made for other Koreans: slang, shortcuts, the casual register friends use, the polite forms at work, and the speed that comes with all of it. Nothing here was recorded for learners, which is the whole point. Starting from zero? No Korean yet, start anyway. The feed opens with basic Korean for beginners and picks up speed as you do. A feed that grows with you Korean from native speakers is fun when you can follow it and exhausting when every sentence gets away from you. Reelang picks videos at your level, so the speech stays real and you can still follow it. The feed starts with the easiest Korean it has and speeds up as you do. When a clip runs away from you, Focus takes it sentence by sentence. If you know the term comprehensible input, that is the idea. Real Korean you can almost always understand, with enough new in it to keep learning. Smart Subtitles show you what to learn first Not every word is worth your time. Smart Subtitles tell you which ones are. You see whether a word is among the 500, 1,000 or 2,000 most common words in Korean, and anything rarer shows its exact rank. Use subtitles. Then hide them. Start with Smart Subtitles when you need help. When a clip begins to feel easy, hide them and listen again. Some videos have subtitles burned into the image. A normal player cannot take those off the screen. Reelang can. Hide them and you are only listening, not reading. Same clip, same voice, no text. Little by little you catch words, then whole sentences. Learn vocabulary where people actually use it A word sticks when you hear a real person use it in a real situation. Instead of working through lists, you meet new words inside real clips, slang included. Every clip is labelled with where it was made, so you know whether you are hearing Seoul or Busan. Want longer on one video? Open Focus: no text first, then a check, then word by word. Tap a word to keep it for review. This is not a course, and these are not audio lessons. It is everyday Korean at the speed people speak it. The fun part is the part that teaches Reelang is built on videos people would watch anyway: funny clips, stories, street interviews, everyday life. Not a lesson dressed up as entertainment, but real entertainment in Korean with the learning tools around it. That is why opening the app tomorrow does not take discipline. Getting ready for a listening test? TOPIK and EPS-TOPIK measure the same thing: understanding real Korean the first time you hear it, at natural speed. Reelang is not an exam course, but the listening sections are audio at exam pace, which is what this feed already is. Use it as Korean listening practice. Headed to Korea, or already there? Studying in Korea, working there, or sitting the KIIP assessments: all of it runs on understanding people in real time, not on passing a vocabulary test. Reelang+ is optional. It gives you unlimited Learner Insights explaining grammar, slang and why people say things the way they do (free accounts get a couple a day). It also brings your vocabulary back in new clips so the words stick, and unlocks your full Reelang Chart. You can still watch and learn without Reelang+. 21,000+ videos. Real Korean, spoken the way Koreans actually speak it, in one feed that meets you at your level.
