Full description
DEADSCOLL is for: - people trying to break doom scrolling habits - deep workers who lose time to reflex app opens - digital minimalists who want help in the moment, not just reports afterward anyone who wants a mindful coach instead of a harsh blocker You do not need another app that tells you how much time you lost after the damage is done. DEADSCROLL is built to interrupt the moment you slip into a loop. Instead of locking down your phone like a brute-force blocker, DEADSCROLL uses adaptive cognitive friction to help you pause, wake up, and make a conscious choice before a quick check turns into a lost hour. When you open a target app, DEADSCROLL steps in with a nudge. Sometimes it is a brief hold. Sometimes it asks you to breathe. Sometimes it asks you to type a word, a line, a code, or solve a simple prompt. The friction changes so your brain cannot ignore it on autopilot. DEADSCROLL is designed for the real problems: - reflex opens - fast re-entry after closing an app - drifting deeper into feeds and videos - losing time before you even notice it WHAT DEADSCROLL DOES Adaptive nudges: DEADSCROLL uses different kinds of friction to interrupt the scroll loop before it hardens. Escalating intervention: The first nudge may simply ask you to pause. If you keep returning or keep going, the nudges can get stronger. Category-aware timing: Short-form feeds, mixed-content apps, and long-form video apps do not pull attention in the same way. DEADSCROLL adjusts how it intervenes based on the kind of app you are using. Challenge nudges: DEADSCROLL can interrupt you with holds, breathing prompts, word typing, phrase typing, alphanumeric codes, and simple cognitive challenges. Severity control: Choose the level that fits your life, Gentle, Mindful or Ironclad Reality-check analytics: See how often nudges were shown, how you responded, and how often the app caught the loop early. Privacy-conscious design: DEADSCROLL is built to intervene, not spy. It does not read your messages or private content. Permissions are used to detect app transitions, show nudges at the right moment, and power your own in-app insights. If you are tired of opening an app for one minute and losing the next hour, DEADSCROLL is built to help you catch that moment earlier and take your attention back. PERMISSIONS & PRIVACY POLICY: - DeadScroll utilizes the Android AccessibilityService API and Usage Access permissions to function. - These permissions allow the app to locally detect when you open targeted short-form or highly distracting applications in order to immediately deploy our nudges to help the user. - DeadScroll does not use these services to collect, store, share, or transmit any personal data, keystrokes, or screen content. All application monitoring occurs strictly locally and offline on the user's device to protect your privacy.
