Full description
Naad keeps the record of your daily Sikh practice. You set the goals; the app shows what happened. Naam is three rings on the home screen: • Amrit Vela — the time you choose to rise, marked each morning • Nitnem — the banis in your own daily set, and which you recited today • Simran — minutes of remembrance, against a goal you set yourself Kirat records the day's conduct as your own reflection on honest work, mindful speech and an intoxicant-free day. Vand records sewa hours and Dasvandh giving by month. Alongside the rings you get the day's Vaak from Sri Darbar Sahib, shown transliteration-first with its meaning, so Gurmukhi literacy is never a barrier. A private Sangat lets a circle of friends see each other's presence — who practised, in aggregate. There are no leaderboards and no rankings. How Naad is built: • Goals are yours. A five-minute Simran and a sixty-minute Simran are recorded the same way, and neither is judged. • Nothing is scored. There is no single number for your Sikhi, no grade, and no rating of devotion. • Consistency is a trailing window — "24 of the last 30 days" — not an unbroken chain that shatters when you miss a day. Missed days are shown neutrally. • The Journal is configurable. You choose which items you track. • It works offline. Everything is stored on the device and syncs when you are connected. An account is required, and only the first sign-in needs a network. Naad is not a Gurbani app. It serves no scripture, audio or kirtan beyond the daily Vaak, and it does not try to replace the Gutka or reader you already use — it links out to them instead. Optional: if you turn on Sleep Wake Assist, Naad reads your sleep end time from Health Connect to fill in a morning you did not mark yourself. You can adjust it at any time, the feature is off until you enable it, and Naad never writes any data to Health Connect.
