Dry Scroll: Reels Counter

Dry Scroll is a reels counter for Android. It counts the short videos you scroll — Reels, Shorts and TikToks — and shows today's number in a small live overlay while you watch. No blocking and no login: just an honest count, so you notice doomscrolling while it is happening. Most screen time apps tell you how many minutes you lost. Dry Scroll tells you how many videos. Seeing "47" on top of a reel lands differently than "1h 12m" in a weekly report. HOW IT WORKS • Live counter overlay — today's reel count floats over the video while you scroll. Drag it wherever you like. • A watching eye — the overlay eye looks more and more strained as your daily count climbs. • Reels counter + Shorts counter in one — Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and TikTok are counted by default. Facebook Reels, Snapchat Spotlight, ShareChat, Moj, Josh and Likee are supported on a best-effort basis. • Careful counting — swiping back to a video you already saw, inserted ads, and "suggested for you" cards are not counted. When unsure, Dry Scroll leaves a swipe out rather than inflate your number. • Daily stats — reels by day, your daily average, and a per-app breakdown so you can see which app takes the most scrolling. • Screen time for the apps you choose — track usage minutes only for apps you enable, with an optional session timer overlay (off by default). • Scroll Battle — see your score for the day, pick a display name, and invite friends to try Dry Scroll with a share link. No accounts. • Permission alerts — if your phone quietly switches off a permission, Dry Scroll notifies you so counting does not silently stop. • Fresh start at midnight — the count resets locally every day; your history is kept. WHY A SCROLL COUNTER INSTEAD OF A BLOCKER Blockers work until you switch them off. A scroll counter builds awareness: once you watch the number climb, it is easier to put the phone down on your own terms. QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK • How many reels do I watch a day? Open Dry Scroll: today's number is on the Reels tab and in the overlay, and Stats shows your daily average. • Is this an app blocker? No. Dry Scroll is a reel tracker and Shorts tracker, not a blocker. Nothing is locked; you decide what to do with the number. • Does counting need internet? No. Counting works offline, and your counts are never uploaded automatically. • Is it a digital detox app? Think of it as a gentle first step: see the real number first, then cut back. It works alongside Android Digital Wellbeing if you want to reduce screen time, phone addiction or social media addiction.
