Gas Trip Calculator: Fuel MPG

How much gas do you really need for this trip? Gas Trip Calculator answers before you turn the key. Enter your distance and your mileage, and it tells you exactly how much to put in the tank. Or the other way around — tell it what you have, and it tells you how far you will get. THREE CALCULATIONS, ONE SCREEN Fill in any two fields and the third works itself out. • The fuel needed for a given distance • The distance you can cover with the fuel you have • Your real mileage over a trip you just drove WHAT ACTUALLY COSTS YOU A loaded trunk, the air conditioning, roof bars — each one is paid for at the pump. Tick what applies and the result adjusts instantly. • Loaded trunk: +5% • Air conditioning: +5% • Roof box: +15% MILES OR KILOMETRES Gallons and MPG, or litres and L/100 km: one switch does it. Your usual mileage is remembered separately for each system. ELEVEN TIPS TO BURN LESS Tire pressure, highway speed, engine braking, cold starts — every tip states how much fuel you can expect to save. BUILT FOR THE DRIVE AHEAD No account to create, no connection required, no personal data collected. Open it, run the numbers, go. You clear out the trunk to save a few pounds — and you may be hauling forty pounds of gas you will not need until the way home. The About tab explains why.
