Full description
Your thumb rests on the glass and a small white arrow hangs inside a corridor of pink and cyan light. You press, and it climbs at a clean forty-five degrees. You lift, and it dives at exactly the same angle. The walls zigzag ahead of you like a signal on an oscilloscope, a saw blade turns in the next chamber, and three orbs glow along the safest line. You hold, release, hold again, and the trace you leave behind starts to look like music. Pulse Arrow is a one-touch flying game built on that single rule. Hold anywhere to rise, let go to fall, and keep the arrow away from walls, spikes and saws. The corridor narrows as each level goes on, so the rhythm that felt relaxed at the start becomes a tight, focused dance by the finish. The levels are spread across three worlds, each tuned to its own frequency. Low Pass is the warm-up, with gentle walls and room to find your timing. Overdrive turns the signal hot and squeezes the walls in closer. Static is where the noise floor bites, and the last stretch of it asks for real precision. Every world holds eight levels, twenty-four in all, and each level hides three orbs on the safest path through it. Collect all three for a perfect clear, and chase all seventy-two if you enjoy the long game. Failing is part of the fun rather than a punishment. After a crash you can switch on practice mode, which places checkpoints every fifteen per cent of the way so you can drill the section that keeps catching you. Practice clears do not count towards progress. Your strongest attempt is also saved as a ghost, a faint arrow that flies alongside you on the next try, so you always have something to race. When the levels are behind you, Endless mode removes the finish line altogether. The corridor narrows every hundred metres and a saw room appears every seventy, and the only question is how far you can carry the signal before it breaks. The Records station keeps your longest flight, total distance, attempts, air time and a scope of your most recent runs. Every clear earns volts, the game's only currency, and volts are spent in the Hangar on eight arrow designs. Start with the classic Dart, then work towards Delta, Needle, Kite, Comet, Stealth, Nova and finally Glyph, each with its own shape and trail colours. Twelve award presets mark milestones such as taking every orb in Low Pass, flying fifteen hundred metres in Endless, or clearing a tough level on the first attempt. The whole thing is laid out like a radio studio, with a tuning dial for moving between stations, a glitchy neon look and an animated equaliser in the background. In the Tuning station you can switch haptics, screen shake on crashes, the ghost replay and the background animation on or off. The game runs fully offline, asks for no account, shows no adverts and has no in-app purchases, and its screens adapt to phones and tablets alike. Then there is the Daily Pulse. Every midnight a fresh course goes live, and it is the same course for every player that day. Finish it to earn fifty volts and light the flame on your daily streak, then keep that flame burning by clearing the next one. Today's signal is waiting for you now, and tomorrow there will be a new one to tune in to.
