Full description

Most clocks lie. They show 24 hours—but after sleep, work, and obligations, your real free time is often just a few hours. Ration makes that number impossible to ignore. Ration is a home-screen instrument for your actual agency: the minutes you have left today for yourself. No to-do lists. No streaks. No feeds. Just honest math and widgets that stay in your face. WHY RATION IS DIFFERENT • Scarcity, not productivity theater — When a big clock says 4:00 PM, you feel rich. When your Ration says 01:26, you act like it. • Reality Cap — Ration never shows more time than you truly have until sleep. Waste your morning? You don't get phantom minutes back at night. • Digital stoicism — High-contrast, instrument-style design inspired by Braun and tactical gauges. Built to inform, not addict. HOW IT WORKS 1. The Bank — Set wake and sleep boundaries. 2. The Tax — Add fixed work hours (and optional calendar events). 3. The Friction — Pro users tune Entropy: the realistic "leak" from context switching, delays, and daily chaos. 4. The Ration — See exactly how many minutes of free agency remain today. HOME SCREEN WIDGETS • Ration Dashboard (4×2) — FREE — Daily timeline with Sleep, Work, and Ration blocks, remaining time, and flip to macro goal progress. • Ration Gauge (2×2) — PRO — Circular segmented dial for at-a-glance scarcity on your home screen. Double-tap the left side of either widget to open System Config. MACRO GOAL Name a target and date—"21 days until Japan," a launch, a race—and track progress on your widget flip face. Progress stays coherent when you adjust dates; your anchor is set on first save. RATION PRO — ONE-TIME, FOREVER Ration is free to use. Upgrade once to unlock: • 2×2 Circular Gauge widget • Entropy (transition cost) control • Premium Terminal & Spectrum skins No subscription. No account required. CALENDAR (FREE, OPTIONAL) Enable calendar integration in System Config and Ration subtracts today's meetings on-device—like work blocks eating into your Ration. Processed locally on your phone. We never see your calendar. PRIVACY FIRST • No account • No servers • No tracking • Your schedule stays on your device "It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it." — Seneca
