Full description
1940. Panzers cross the Meuse at Sedan. Every hour gained can change what comes next. The line must hold. And the line is you. Holdline is a historical, narrative tower defense game set in World War II. Across 11 battles inspired by real events, freely place and upgrade your defenses, manage your resources, and withstand waves of infantry, armor, and aircraft. There is no fantasy kingdom here: every map, objective, and briefing takes you to a real battlefield between 1940 and 1945. DE GAULLE, LECLERC, CHURCHILL: HISTORY COMES ALIVE At Dunkirk, cover the evacuation that enables Churchill's England to fight on. From London, de Gaulle embodies the refusal to surrender; at Bir Hakeim, Koenig stands against Rommel. Follow Leclerc from Chad and the oath of Kufra to Ksar Ghilane, then on to Strasbourg alongside de Lattre. Hold the Belvedere under Juin's orders and meet Montgomery in the desert. Illustrated cinematics, briefings, radio dialogue, and transitions turn these battles into one great story. 11 HISTORICAL BATTLES, ONE CAMPAIGN Follow the French campaign, the flame kept alive by Free France, and the final reckoning: Sedan, Gembloux, Stonne, the Alps, Dunkirk, Narvik, Bir Hakeim, Ksar Ghilane, the Belvedere, Saint-Marcel, and Strasbourg. A TRUE TACTICAL TOWER DEFENSE - Deploy 6 authentic defenses: machine guns, anti-tank guns, light and heavy AA, artillery, and mortars - Build your line with anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, barbed wire, and hedgehogs - Read each wave and adapt to infantry, Panzers, artillery, paratroopers, and Stukas - Upgrade positions through 4 levels, repair under fire, and choose priority targets - Pick from 3 difficulty levels, earn up to 3 stars, and collect 48 command cards - Face varied objectives: hold, evacuate, break out, protect, and resupply HISTORY WITHOUT REWRITING IT Holdline does not turn every battle into a victory. When history ended in defeat, your objective remains that of the real defenders: buy time, save lives, and hold until evacuation. Fully hand-painted maps, sourced "Did you know?" stories, and history spotlight sequences place weapons, units, and decisions in their historical context. A GAME THAT RESPECTS YOUR TIME - No ads, energy system, or artificial waiting - Discover the campaign's first 3 battles, then unlock the next 8 with one purchase - No pay-to-win purchases: only your strategy makes the difference - Battles playable offline in English, French, and German - Cloud saves and achievements through Google Play Games when connected Delay the Panzers at Sedan. Cover the Allied evacuation at Dunkirk. Stand with Koenig at Bir Hakeim. Follow Leclerc to Ksar Ghilane. Hold Strasbourg with de Gaulle and de Lattre. Take command.

What's new

• Belvedere: one tap sends the reinforcements in to grenade the rocket launcher — but they have to get close. • Bir Hakeim: the guns are crewed by tirailleurs of the 2nd Marching Battalion, raised in French Equatorial Africa. • Stacking defences of the same type costs more again, command cards included. • Fixes: a snowdrift that swallowed gun crews, mule gold that now sounds like a payment, Ksar Rhilane said right.
