Quasar

Most calorie apps count. Quasar thinks. Quasar is an adaptive metabolic engine for people serious about body composition. While other apps give you a static target, Quasar recalculates your BMR, TDEE, and macro splits on every weight log. Your plan evolves as your body does. 🔥 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗭𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 Calculates the exact digestion cost of every meal — Protein (25%), Carbs (8%), Fat (2%) — and credits it back to your daily budget in real time. Built on peer-reviewed TEF research by Westerterp (2004) and Acheson et al. 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 Built on the MATADOR study (Byrne et al., 2017) — cycling deficit and maintenance prevents adaptive thermogenesis and produces greater fat loss than continuous restriction. 𝗟𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 Pauses your deficit during high-stress periods, switches to maintenance, then resumes exactly where it left off. 𝗜𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 50 conditions across 11 categories — fractures, sprains, surgeries, infections, chronic conditions, mental health, and more. Each with clinically-informed macro splits, BMR multipliers, and a personalized recovery message. Includes a 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆: mark a cheat day, log the excess calories, and Quasar distributes precise daily reductions across your chosen recovery window — to the exact calorie. Next cheat day unlocks only after compensation is complete. ⚔️ 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗟 Hit your daily protein goal and build a streak. Every 5th victory earns a Shield protecting your streak if you miss a day. Progress through a full badge hierarchy — streak, badge score, victories, and shields all tracked in a rank modal. 🍱 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗚 • 50+ Indian foods from ICMR-NIN nutritional data • Open Food Facts API for global packaged food lookup • Barcode scanner for instant macro breakdown • Fuzzy search with token scoring and brand-aware ranking • Local memory layer via AsyncStorage for offline access 🧠 𝗕𝗢𝗗𝗬 𝗛𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 Psychology-backed craving decoders that identify what your body is actually signaling and redirect impulse before the decision is made. 📊 𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞-𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 Log your weight anytime — Quasar instantly recalculates BMR, TDEE, calorie target, and macro splits.
