Reasons for permission requirements For devices running Android 11 and older: Pool Controls Connect requires Location permission access and location to be turned on when scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices. Location information is not be collected or shared by Pool Controls and is purely required so Android can let the app conduct a Bluetooth scan. For devices running Android 12 and newer: Pool Controls Connect requires Nearby Devices permission access to scan and connect to Bluetooth devices.
