Full description
Memory games usually put you alone with a timer. This one puts someone across the table. Turn two cards. Match them and you keep the pair and go again — a good run can clear half the table in a single turn. Miss, and it is your rival's turn. The catch is simple and it changes everything: every card you turn over, your rival sees too. You are not only trying to remember. You are handing over what you find. The difficulty setting is one number and nothing else: how much the rival remembers. DABBLER forgets about half of what it sees. THE MIND forgets nothing at all. No extra speed, no peeking at face-down cards, no cheating of any kind — if it beats you, it out-remembered you. Bots playing against a rival that forgets a third of the cards win about four matches in five. Against one that forgets nothing, it is a coin flip. Three tables, from sixteen cards to thirty. The bigger the table, the more memory decides it. A match takes about a minute.
