Full description

When you take a picture with your smartphone and save in a jpg file, this file includes data that reveals something about where, when and the device that was used. These may be used to trace back to you! To protect against this, the jpg file shared should be sanitized by removing such embedded information from the jpg file. This app shows the embedded data before and after cleaning the jpg file.

What's new

Purpose: Share your image file without source identifying information. Protect your privacy when sharing image files. Details: When you take a picture with your smartphone, it is usually saved in a file with other data about the camera model, device manufacturer name, model number, camera settings used, time taken, location (if enabled), etc. Features: take picture, show these metadata, show scrubbed version, share only the scrubbed file.
