Pocket Trader is a trading simulator with a market that actually moves. Twelve goods, five towns, a bag of coins and a calendar. Buy where a thing is cheap, carry it to where it is dear, and watch the ledger grow. A MARKET THAT BEHAVES LIKE ONE Every town has a fair price for every good. Millbrook grows grain and cheese, so they are cheap there; Silverreach, the old capital, pays dearly for luxury; Ironhollow digs ore and wood for a song and imports its food. On top of that, every price drifts day by day with a mean-reverting random walk - the same shape real commodity models use - so a spike tends to come back down and a slump tends to recover. Headlines in the gazette push a price away from fair for a few days: a lost caravan, a bumper harvest, a festival, a tax cut. Read the chart, spot the window, act. REAL BOOKKEEPING Every purchase is a parcel of stock with its own cost. Sales consume the oldest parcels first and the profit you see on each trade is booked against what those exact goods cost you. The statistics screen tracks realised profit, success rate, best deal, net worth over time and a profit breakdown by good. Nothing is estimated; it is your ledger. THE ROAD Travel between towns takes a day and costs a fare. Before you go, the travel screen tells you what your bag would fetch in each town at today's prices, so the run you plan is a run you can see. A warehouse expands your cargo; bulky goods like wood and ore take two slots a unit, so what you carry is a decision too.
