Full description
PGM-Q is a process capability and production risk tool for the people who actually have to answer for the numbers: quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, and the program managers who sit between them and the customer. CAPABILITY STUDIES Paste or type your measurements and get a complete study: Cp, Cpk, Pp and Ppk for both within-subgroup and overall variation, PPM, sigma level, yield, an X-bar/R control chart, a histogram with the fitted curve, and an Anderson-Darling normality test. Enter data as one long list or as subgroups, or type it straight into a grid with live subgroup means and ranges. Set your own target and an optional marginal band, so a result reads Pass, Marginal or Fail the way your plant judges it. PPAP-READY PDF REPORTS One tap produces a submission-grade PDF: part number, characteristic, gage, operator, plant, date and notes across the header, the verdict, the full index table, summary statistics, both charts, the normality result, any warnings, and signature lines for prepared, reviewed and approved. NON-NORMAL CAPABILITY Flatness, runout, surface finish and anything bounded at zero are usually not normal, and a normal-based Cpk flatters them badly. PGM-Q fits Box-Cox, lognormal and Weibull distributions, keeps whichever matches your data most closely, and reports capability from the fitted 0.135% and 99.865% percentiles, the method ISO 22514-4 describes. It shows you all three candidates and which one won, so the choice is visible rather than hidden. PRODUCTION RISK, SIMULATED Build a production plan (work days, shifts, output per shift, customer demand, overtime, weekend runs, a second source coming up to rate) and run a Monte Carlo simulation over it. You get the probability of covering demand, the expected and worst-case shortfall, and, most usefully, when the first shortfall is likely to land: the date by which there is a 10%, 50% and 90% chance of going short. A tornado chart ranks what actually moves the outcome. Record what really happened week by week and the forecast narrows as the quarter lands. TIMELINES Build an event and span timeline for a launch or a build phase, in three views (timeline, Gantt, or both) and export it as a PNG for a slide. OFFLINE FIRST Everything runs on the device. No account is needed, no network is needed, and your measurements do not leave your phone unless you choose to sync them. FREE AND PRO Free covers quick capability, simulation runs, studies up to 30 values, 1,000 iterations and three saved records of each type. Pro adds PDF reports, file import, non-normal capability, PNG export, run history and trends, up to 50,000 iterations, unlimited saved records, and sync across devices. Built by a manufacturing program manager with thirty years on the floor and in front of customers, because the tools that do this properly cost thousands and live on a desktop in the quality office. Results are computed from data you supply. Validate any result before relying on it for a submission.
