WESTERN YEAR TO JAPANESE ERA • 令和 (Reiwa), 平成 (Heisei), 昭和 (Showa), 大正 (Taisho), 明治 (Meiji) • Correct era boundary dates, including the 元年 (first year) convention • Convert in both directions WHAT THE DAY CARRIES • 六曜 (Rokuyo) — 大安 (Taian, most auspicious) through 仏滅 (Butsumetsu), used when picking wedding and ceremony dates • 二十四節気 (24 solar terms) such as 立春 (Risshun, start of spring) • Japanese public holidays, including substitute holidays • 干支 (zodiac) for the year COMPUTED, NOT COPIED Rokuyo comes from the traditional lunisolar calendar, and solar terms from the sun's actual position — both calculated on your device.
