Full description
Hueception is a single-player color puzzle. A colored tile appears, and you choose Tap, Avoid, or Match. The color you see does not tell you which action is correct. Red may be safe. Blue may be dangerous. Each round hides its own mapping from colors to behaviors, and you have to discover it. Each round randomly assigns three behaviors to colors: Safe, Danger, and Bonus. The game does not show you that mapping. You learn it by watching how the game responds after you act. Correct actions score points. Safe and Bonus colors give points. Danger colors subtract points. The mapping does not last for the whole round. It changes every 5 to 10 actions, so a color you just figured out can mean something else a moment later. You need to notice the change and adjust. Speed also increases gradually as rounds progress. During play, the screen shows your current score, your best score, the round number, and a progress bar. One colored tile is shown in the center. Tap, Avoid, and Match are the three actions at the bottom. Back returns you to the previous screen. From the home screen you can open: - Play - Rule Discovery - Pattern Log - Tips - History - How To Play - About How To Play restates the same rules: colors do not stand for a fixed behavior, each round assigns Safe, Danger, and Bonus at random, the mapping changes every 5 to 10 actions, and points come from correct actions.
