Ward: Drone Detector

Ward is a passive drone detection app that uses your phone's camera and microphone to help identify possible drones visually and acoustically. Ward does not transmit signals, control drones, or interfere with drone communications. Detection runs locally on your device. THREE DETECTION MODES VISION Ward uses on-device computer vision and a neural network model to analyze the live camera feed and identify possible drones in real time. ACOUSTIC Ward uses real-time audio analysis to detect sound patterns that may be associated with drone rotors and motors. On supported phones with suitable microphone input, Ward can also estimate whether a detected sound is coming from the left or right after a short one-time calibration. MANUAL TRACKING Select an object or region directly on the camera feed and Ward will visually track it. This allows you to follow distant or unidentified objects even when the detection model does not recognize them. OFFLINE MAPS Download the currently visible map area as an offline zone. You can save up to 10 zones and view downloaded map data without an internet connection. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Ward is not radar, a certified security system, or an emergency-warning device. Detection results are probabilistic. False detections may occur, and drones or other objects may go undetected. Under favorable daytime conditions, visual detection is designed for use at distances of approximately up to 50 meters. In quiet, open environments, acoustic detection may operate at distances of approximately up to 70 meters. These distances are approximate reference values only and are not guaranteed detection ranges. Detection performance may be affected by factors including low light, fog, precipitation, distance, object size, rapid movement, complex backgrounds, wind, vehicles, generators, fans, and other environmental noise. Map direction and position indicators are estimates. They do not represent a drone's verified GPS position, exact location, or exact distance. Use Ward only in safe and lawful settings and comply with applicable local laws. SUBSCRIPTION An active subscription is required to access Ward's features. Monthly and yearly subscription options are available through Google Play. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
