PandaFocus

Stay focused with PandaFocus — a cozy focus timer with real app blocking, guided by a cheerful red panda companion. ✦ Features • Focus sessions — set your duration (Pomodoro presets or custom). • App blocking — pick distracting apps to block, or enable strict lockdown to allow only PandaFocus during a session. • Block overlay — if you open a blocked app, PandaFocus brings you back. • Red panda mascot — speech bubble reactions during sessions (toggle chill mode in Settings to keep things calm). • Points & streaks — earn bamboo for completed focus time. • Panda Shop — spend points on accents, bubble styles, rank titles, treats, sanctuary bamboo, and double-points boosters. • Global leaderboard — optional Firebase sync; ranked by lifetime focus points (shop spending does not lower your score); display name and shame button. • Light, dark & system theme • UI sounds • German & English (system language). ✦ Why PandaFocus? Most focus apps only remind you to stay off your phone. PandaFocus can actually block the apps you choose — or everything except itself in strict mode — while a friendly red panda cheers you on. ✦ Permissions • Usage access — detect which app is in the foreground during a session. • Display over other apps — show the block overlay. • Notifications — ongoing session notification. • Foreground service — reliable session monitoring while you work. Core data stays on your device. Leaderboard features use anonymous Firebase only when enabled by the developer build.
