Full description
Padamz is a free daily word puzzle in twelve languages — Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Odia, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, English, Spanish and Dutch — plus nine more word games, Ashta Chamma, and Indian festival games and quizzes. One hidden word a day. Six tries. The tiles tell you how close you got. Every other game is unlocked from the start. ── ASHTA CHAMMA, WITH FAMILY ONLINE ── The cowrie board game from every verandah — Chowka Bhara, Thaayam, Kavidi Kali. Play the bots, or send family and friends a 5-letter code and talk on a voice or video call while you play. ── INDIAN FESTIVAL GAMES AND QUIZZES ── • Dahi Handi — a Janmashtami running game. Run through Gokul, jump the bullock carts, cobras and ponds, collect the seven letters of KRISHNA, then time your jump and break the pot hanging from the festival arch. • Festival quiz night — twelve quizzes, from Ganesha and Krishna to Diwali, the Gita and the Vedas. Host one and everyone in the room joins on their own phone with a code, or try one alone. Nearly 1,000 questions, easy and hard, in ten languages. ── HOW IT WORKS ── • Type any real word and press Enter. • Each tile changes colour: right letter in the right place, right letter in the wrong place, or not in the word at all. • Use what you learn and try a better word. A new word every day. ── BUILT FOR INDIAN SCRIPTS, NOT BOLTED ON ── Most word games romanise Indian languages or hand you a Latin keyboard. Padamz does neither. • Each tile holds one akshara, not one letter. • A script-native keyboard: tap a consonant, then a vowel sign, with a live preview of the syllable you are building. Conjuncts work as you write them. • Split-tile feedback tells you when the consonant is right but the vowel sign is not — feedback a letter-by-letter game cannot give. ── TWO DIFFICULTIES ── Easy for a shorter word, Hard for a longer one. Switch whenever you like; your streak is per language, so changing difficulty never costs you one. ── STUCK? ── • Clue — tells you what the hidden word means. It never shows the letters. • Hint — reveals one letter in its right place. Neither gives you the answer. ── NINE MORE GAMES, SAME WORDS ── All free, all offline: • Hunt Wordz — the daily word hides in an illustrated scene. Tap the objects holding its letters before your lanterns run out. • Set Wordz — a sliding-tile puzzle that solves into a grid of crossing words instead of the numbers 1 to 15. • Chill Wordz — no clock, nothing to lose. Tap the candy carrying the letter the word wants next; the colours touching it pop as a bonus. • Cross Wordz — a small crossword with a plain one-line clue for every word. • Snooker Wordz — pot the lettered balls in the right order, avoid the black ones. • Save Wordz — an archery round. Hit the mangoes carrying the word's letters before the eagles reach the tree. • Wordoku — sudoku played with letters instead of numbers, in easy and hard. • Catch Wordz — three rounds, one word each. Catch every falling letter in its own slot and dodge the fireballs. • Maze Wordz — run the bunny round a maze and eat every lettered carrot before the foxes catch you. The daily puzzle, Hunt Wordz, Set Wordz and Chill Wordz play in all twelve languages; the other six use English words. ── PLAY YOUR WAY ── • Practice mode: unlimited random words, no effect on your streak. • Challenge a friend: send a link and they play your exact word, then compare tries and times side by side. • Streaks, statistics and achievements for every language, and a polyglot crown for solving more than one language in a day. • Four themes, and a colour-blind mode that adds symbols, not just colour. • Works offline once loaded. ── PRIVACY ── No account. No sign-up. No personal data. Your games are stored on your own device, not on a server. We collect anonymous usage counts only, and there is a switch to turn even that off.
